This park, located in central Phoenix, has two uncovered
Island Picnic areas available for reservations Monday thru Sunday during park hours. There
are no reservations on holidays. Each area has 6 picnic tables and
1 grill. Each area's capacity is 50 people. Groups with more than 50 people can reserve the entire space. Fee: None |
Guidelines: A reserved area must be claimed within 30 minutes of requested start time or it will revert to a first-come, first-serve basis. Amplified music is permitted on the Island area only with staff approval and a sound permit. Inflatables are allowed with an inflatable permit.Fees are based on whole day reservations. Features: This park, also located in central Phoenix,
has two ramadas, each with a capacity of 75 people available for
reservations seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Ramadas
are not reservable on most holidays and when large special events
are scheduled at the park. Inflatable moonwalks and on-site catering
require prior approval from park manager by calling 602-534-2406.

Guidelines: The ramadas must be reserved two full working days prior to reservation. Reserved ramadas must be claimed within 30 minutes of requested start time or they will lose their reservation and park staff will not be available to open gates, ramada and/or restrooms. Piñatas and water balloons are not allowed. No amplified music is permitted in the ramada areas. Ramadas are lighted, fenced, gated and locked. When not reserved, the ramadas are available for walk-in use between Monday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There is no driving or skating of any kind on park grounds. Use of any type of tape is prohibited. Reservations can be made no more than 6 months in advance. Beer is permitted with an alcohol permit. |

Steele Indian
School Park |
Features: Steele Indian School Park has two medium sized ramadas (accommodate 50) located in the Neighborhood Park area of the Park and five small ramadas (accommodate 20) located in the Phoenix Green area of the Park. All of them have BBQ grills. The Phoenix Green area of the Park is flood irrigated so fields could be wet or moist. See Steele Indian School Ramada Use Rules. Additional park details

Guidelines: All of the ramadas are available on a first come first served basis. All open space is available on a first come first served basis, unless the area is scheduled for a Special Event. Special Events are held in the Amphitheater area of the Park or in the Phoenix Green area of the Park. Features: North Mountain Park has
several areas that can be reserved. The Havasupai Ramada has a capacity
of 150, 8 tables,10 grills, restrooms & parking. The Yavapai Ramada has a capacity of 100, 12 tables, 6 grills, parking. Pima Areas 1 &
2, capacity of 50 people each, 6 tables, 2 grills, restrooms at ranger station. This area also boasts a
children's playground, located between Havasupia and Pima 1 & 2 areas. There are nine ramada areas available on a first-come,
first served basis: Gila Ramada, capacity of 10, 2 tables, 1 grill, parking; Tewa Ramada, capacity of 40, 6 tables, 6 grills, paking at Pima Ramada; Maricopa Ramada, capacity of 20, 3 tables, 2 grills, parking; Quechan Ramada, capacity of 20, 2 tables, 1 grill, parking; Cocopah Ramada, capacity 70, 7 tables, 7 grills, parking; Piute Ramada, capacity 100, 10 tables, 1 grill, limited parking; Ute Ramada, capacity 10, 2 tables, 1 grill, parking; Kaibab Ramada, capacity 90, 9 tables, 1 grill, parking; Ak-Chin Ramada, capacity of 20, 2 tables, 1 grill, parking; Pima 3 & 4 Ramada, capacity of 50, 5 tables, 5 grills, parking. Electrical outlets are available at most ramadas; however, please limit the use of multiple high powered items such as microwaves, televisions, multiple crock pots, etc. Havasupai, Yavapaii, and Tewa have concrete pads/dance floors. can be made no more than six months in advance. Reservation times are from: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. for Havasupai, Yavapai, and Pime 1 & 2. All other ramadas and picnic areas are available on a first come, first serve basis. Amplified
music is not permitted. There is only one reservation per
day per ramada. Fees are based on whole day reservations. All other ramadas at the park are first come,
first served. Maximum capacities for ramadas and other picnic areas will be strictly enforced. Beer is ONLY allowed. Beer permits are allowed
for reservable ramadas. No glass bottles are allowed. No moon walks, dunk
tanks, pinatas, or inflatables allowed. Reservation hours are from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Parking is for all park users and is not guaranteed. Parking maybe limited. Call (602) 262-7901 for ranger dispactch if needed.

Central Ave. For reservations call: 602-262-4881, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Reservations can also be made in person at South Mountain Environmental Educational Center, on Friday and Saturday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at 10409 South Central Avenue or at any City of Phoenix Community Center.
