The law very clearly says signs must be posted saying
no beer or liquor is allowed.
But on many entrances there are NO signs posted saying that beer and liquor are not allowed. It looks like Sec. 24-38 Spiritous liquor in parks of the Phoenix city code says that beer is not allowed in Phoenix Parks. It says Sec. 24-38. Spiritous liquor in parks. So I guess it is illegal to have ANY kind of liquor in the Phoenix Parks?A. For the purposes of this section:1. Beer means any beverage obtained by the alcoholic fermentation, infusion or decoction of barley malt, hops, or other ingredients not drinkable, or any combination of them.B. It shall be unlawful for any person to consume or have in his possession any spirituous liquor in a park except as provided in Subsection C of this section. It is also illegal to opperate wheeled devices in a reckless manner in the parks! But it is NOT illegal to have shopping carts! But the government buearucrats have used this law to post signs saying it is illegal to have shopping carts in the parks Sec. 24-43. Prohibition of wheeled devices in public parks. So the buearucrats do make up non-existant laws and post them in the Phoenix city parks!A. No person shall operate a skateboard, conventional or in-line roller skates, bicycle, wagon, or other wheeled vehicle or device in a public park where one or more signs are posted prohibiting such activity, or in a manner which causes injury to any person or damage to public or private property. |
